Default 20100722 Hospital WRITTEN recap

Here is a brief recap of our Life Team family’s hospital excursion on July 22, 2010:

Before we gathered up, we blessed a man who was asking for money in the McDonalds inside the hospital. He said he needed bus fare, but after giving him money (enough for food and bus fare), he still was asking everyone for money. Adam got to minister love to that man and on our way out after we were finished, prayed for him again and he thanked him.

Prayed for a lady in a wheelchair who had a blood clot, shoulder surgery and kidney problems. She said something about a nursing home so they prayed for provision or that she wouldn’t even have to go.

Prayed for Ramona, Raul’s wife who had a kidney/liver problem. Prayed for Raul as well.

Cesar had been sitting there all day to try to get a catheter removed, and had a kidney infection. Prayed for him that the infection must go, total health, and cath would miraculously come out with no adverse affects. Otherwise he’d be stuck with that catheter until at least September. Also shared the love and truth of the Gospel. He said that he truly believed that we were sent there for him.

Prayed for a young man whose arm was bandaged up and in a sling after a fall on the job which left him all cut up. Both his leg and arm were in a lot of pain because of the fall. He checked it out after prayer and he was feeling much better.

His wife is due to have a baby early August. Prayed for her and the baby as well.

Prayed for a man whose wife was a nurse and getting off of work…provision, blessing.

Prayed with a young girl named Jessica who had pain in her ear. She was there with her mother. Prayed once and it was a little better, but still hurt. Prayed again and all the pain left. Jessica was healed, with a huge smile, and also encouraged to know that the devil will never be able to come and tell her God doesn’t love her because she can point back to this and say, “God does love me because He healed my ear.” The mother was also ministered to, instructed and encouraged.

Prayed for a lady who had two little children with her. They had been there all day because her brother was in Urgent Care for diabetes. Prayed for him, as well and they were appreciative.

Prayed for a lady who had a lot of pain in her leg. The hospital was checking to see if it was a blood clot. She was called from the waiting area before she could check it out after prayer.

One of the workers came out and thanked us for coming and praying for people.

Prayed for a man on crutches who had sprained his ankle, and had torn ligaments. He couldn’t tell if the pain was better because he was on so many meds. But, he was very appreciative that we prayed for him.

Prayed for the daughter of a customer who “just so happened” to be in ICU at the hospital. Diabetes was the main problem. Her feet were numb and cold…her feet started to feel warm. They were encouraged that we had come.

Of all the people we approached, only one declined prayer.

Prayed for a lady on the elevator who was holding her finger up because of pain.

Prayed for a man named Dickie who had a broken arm. He was very appreciative for us caring about him.

Prayed for a man who was messed up after back surgery from a cyst because they had given him the wrong medication. Couldn’t tell if the pain was gone because of all the meds. Prayed for his wife as well.
Wife asked for prayer for a nephew who was in another hospital who just came out of heart surgery.

Encountered a lady with a walker who was trying to get some food before she got called to be checked in, but the food was in an entirely different building. We prayed for her (WOKs—words of knowledge) and then got her food, as well. We went in with her to emergency with her. She needing the “ministry of listening,” as well.

Prayed for a lady in ER with pancreatitis. She was in less pain after we prayed and thanked us.

Prayed for a non-English speaking couple (Arabic) from Iraq. Told them about Isa (Jesus, to Arabic speaking people). It was a neat connection.

So there you have it. It was a good evening and we are looking forward to many many more. Praise God!
